Idichakka thoran (jack fruit stir fry kerala style/ kadgi upkari)


Ingredients

Small jack fruit                                  1 cut in to cubes

Red chilly                                           3

Green chilly                                       2

Onion chopped                                 1

Mustard seeds                                  1 tsp

Grated coconut                                 1 or 2 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method

Peel outer skin of jack fruit  and pressure cook it for 2 or 3 whistles.

Let it cool for some time,   after it cools strain extra water from that,  shred them with hand and keep aside.

Heat oil in kadai  add mustard seed ,  then add chopped onion fry till light pink,  then add red chilly and green chilly fry for 3 to 4 min add pinch of turmeric and salt add jack fruit mix well.  close the lid cook it for 5 to 10 min, open the lid add grated coconut mix well cook for another 5 min.

Idichakka thoran  ready to serve.
