Gova Kane Godshe (broken wheat Payasam)

My sister-in-law (brother’s wife) gave birth to a baby boy on the auspicious day of Sivaratri.  For celebrating the baby’s birth and sivarathri I thought of preparing this sweet dish for you all.
Broken wheat                                         1 cup
Milk                                                           ½ ltr
Jaggery                                                     ½ cup
Cashew nut   and raisins few
Ghee                                                          2 tsp
Cardamom powder                                ½ tsp
Method
Wash and drain the broken wheat and add 2-2 ½  cups of water  and pressure cook for 1 whistle then keep it in a low flame for 10 minutes.  Let it cool for some time.  Then add jaggery and keep stirring till the jaggery melts and gets mixed well with wheat.  Then add ½ ltr of milk and boil it for 5 to 10 minutes and  add cardamom powder.  Switch off the gas.   Fry cashew nut and raisins  in ghee and pour on the payasam.  Tasty payasam ready to eat.
