Povva usli (avil upma)









Ingredients
Thick  beaten rice flakes(povu)                   2cups
Green   chilly                                              5 to 6
Urdal  dal                                                  1 tsp
Mustard seeds                                           ½  tsp
Grated  coconut                                         ¼ cup
Sugar                                                         2 tsp to 3 tsp
Salt   to taste
Curry leaves  few
Oil  for  cooking



Method
Soak   povvu (avil)  in water for 5 min.  Then  strain  it and remove   excess  water and squeeze it .  Add sugar, salt and grated coconut  and  mix well.   Keep it aside for 5  to 10 minutes.

Heat oil  in kadai,    put mustard seeds when it pops  up  add urad dal,  fry till light brown add curry leaves and green chilly   and fry for 2 min.  Then  and  povva(Avil)  mix,   mix well  cook for 2 to 3 min.





 

Easy and quick  break fast is ready.  You  can prepare this for evening snacks also.
