Chakkakuru muringayila parippu curry (jackfruit seeds drumstick leaves dal curry)




ingredients
Muringayali ( drumstick leaves                    1 cup
 Chakkakuru(Jackfruit  seeds)                    1 cup
Parippu (Dal)                                             ½ cup






To grind

Grated  coconut                                     1 cup
Cumin  seeds                                         ½ tsp
Garlic                                                    4 to 5 cloves
Shallots (cheriya ulli)                              4 to 5
Chilli powder                                         1 tsp
Turmeric   powder                                  ½ tsp

 For   tempering

Mustard  seeds                                      1 tsp
Dry red chilly                                         2
Curry leaves                                          few
Small onion   chopped                          1 tbsp 

Method 

Peel    jackfruit  seeds.  Pressure   cook   dal and  jackfruit seeds  till 2 whistle   and  keep a side.
Grind  coconut, cumin seeds,  garlic,  shallots(small onion)  and  turmeric powder in to fine paste.
Cook  drumstick leaves with half cup water with chilly powder.  When its cooked add  pressure cooked dal ,  jackfruit seeds and salt  mix well  cook it for  5 min. Then  add  ground  fine paste into  it add water  as required,   allow it to boil. Meanwhile heat   oil  in pan splutter  mustard seeds and chopped onions fry till light brown  then add curry leaves  and red chilly  fry for a min.  Pour this on boiling curry.  Switch off gas  and   serve with  hot steaming   boiled rice and  fish fry..yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
