BROWN BREAD DAHI VADA

Dahi vada or mosaru  vade is a traditional south  Indian snack.  Mostly  this is prepared with urad dal and   fried in oil and soaked in  curd. Today I am going prepare healthy   dahi  vada using brown bread.  High in iron, minerals, Fiber  and vitamins. It’s a very quick recipe  if you  have green chutney and sweet chutney already prepared at home.  Mostly I prepare this chutneys and keep them in Refrigerator for 10 to 15 days.  I saw this recipe on my  friend Donna Pinto’s page  KKKMAKT and here I have tried some  slight variations from my side.  Thanks nirmala pai   for oil free recipe.

Ingredients
Brown bread                     4 slices
Green chutney                 2 tbsp
Sweet chutney                2tbsp  (Dates and Tamarind chutney)
Fried jeera powder          ½ tsp
Curd                                 1 cup
Pani puri masala or
Chat masala                    1 tsp
 Method
Take One slice of bread and spread green chutney and another slice with sweet chutney and make sandwich of both in a sandwich maker and arrange them in a flat dish.
Beat   curd with salt,   pani puri masala  powder.    Pour   this on  sandwich  sprinkle jeera powder and left over chutney on top  and serve. This looks colour full and tasty and healthy too.
